Natalie hails from the Caribbean, lived for a year in England and called New York her home for 9 years. She now resides in the DC metro area. Natalie has been a fashionista ever since she was old enough to read her Mother’s Glamour magazines. She is passionate about helping women look fabulous, and loves to incorporate color and accessories in her own personal style.
Natalie is certified by the prestigious Association of Image Consultants International (AICI). She has also received styling and image training from the Image Resource Center of NY, an internationally recognizable training group in the image consulting field. With over 15 years of experience in marketing, most recently working as a VP of research in the financial services sector for Harris Interactive, Natalie has often counseled corporate clients on understanding the drivers of their company brand reputation and corporate image and she leverages this experience at Élan Image Management. In fact it is her unique ability to probe to get to the core of an issue or challenge and to make the necessary emotional associations to clients’ issues that sets her apart from many image consultants and allows her to get past client’s barriers so they are free to move forward on their image journey.
Natalie conducts workshops and seminars on creating ‘purposeful presence’ and training for those interested in the field. She is a published writer and a member of the AICI, NAWBO (National Association of Women Business Owners), NAFE and Howard County Chamber of Commerce. She has an active Blog, updated three times a week on her site), and writes a monthly newsletter on image, fashion and personal branding topics. She also writes a column for FashionTribes.com called ‘Global Chic’; for Women’s Online Magazine (WOM) called Creating Lasting Impressions and also contributes to Personalbrandingmagazine.com and Passionate for Life’s, Women’s special interest section ezine. She is also a featured style expert on Districtin8.com’s web site. Natalie’s formal education includes a B.S. (magna cum laude) in Accounting and Economics from Rutgers University, a Masters in Finance from Cambridge University and an MBA in Marketing from Baruch College, CUNY.
Personally, Natalie has always loved clothing and fashion and has had many evolutions in her own image. She has an intuitive sense when it comes to selecting color, fabric and cut to enhance different body shapes and colorings and how to harness people’s essence into their outward appearance. As a 6 foot tall woman, Natalie has first hand knowledge of how to address the needs of clients with very special considerations and how to make their image work for them in new and creative ways.
